  21. I also recommend the RenderMan Language Specification which is available
  22. for about $20 directly from Pixar. (You can call Pixar and ask for
  23. RenderMan sales at (510) 236-4000) It defines the RIB file format (which
  24. the companion does not) and occationally has insights into other details
  25. of RenderMan.

  27. Both of these are slightly out of date with respect to RenderMan on the
  28. NeXT. Pixar, and others, are defining a spec for RenderMan 4.0. The NeXT
  29. implementation seems to be a preliminary version of the RenderMan 4.0
  30. spec. I don't know where you can get details on the new additions, I
  31. hope that the 3.0 final documentation includes them.
