- i tried asking in comp.graphics, but thought i'd try here..
- i want to print images done on a NeXT with Illustrator, Create,
- etc. on an Agfa Color Pro slide maker. Only problem is the film
- recorder is tied to a Mac and runs the Agfa Conductor software.
- It accepts PICT or TIFF files (24-bit, no compression), but the
- TIFFs i make on the NeXT all come out jagged. Michael Johnson
- suggested i make really big images and scale them down, but
- there's a limit to what i can fit onto a 1.4 Meg floppy, and they
- take a long time to transfer over (neither machine is networked).
-
- what i'd LIKE to do is save in EPS or PS format and get the
- recorder to print them. smaller files, smoother lines. but the
- Agfa people won't even talk on the phone (Boo! to their customer
- service).
-
- question- is there any other software (for Macintosh) that will
- drive the recorder and accept PostScript? (or a way to convert
- into its native SCODL language and feed that directly into the
- box?)
