- I ordered a CD-ROM/3.0 upgrade in May, and finally took
- delivery of the drive today (the delay was mostly my fault).
- I want to know what *exactly* (besides the drive) should have been in the
- package. I *know* that 3.0 wasn't supposed to be.
- My package included
-
- 1) The drive itself
- 2) The power cable
- 3) a software licence
- 4) a CD-ROM caddy.
-
- Given that the drive has a sticker on it saying to read the user manual
- before use, I'd expected to find one. Should one have been present?
- Is anything else missing?
-
- I called NeXT customer support to ask what should be in
- the box (I did *not* give a list of what *was* in the box) and, after a wait,
- was told ``everything''. Gee, thanks, I'd thought it was
- NeXT company policy to leave things out (``Oh, let's see, it's
- a Tuesday, so we shouldn't put the power cord in.'') :-)
