- They're not--the data on the CD-ROMs (which is where the files on that
- ftp site come from) are losslessly compressed. The method is Huffman-
- coding pixel differences in the black-and-white images, and requires
- some real software to decode them. I do plan to get the C code from the
- PDS (it's only about two buildings away--I work at JPL) and get it
- working on the NeXT, but I make no promises on when I'll do it.
