- I have my cube at home, and find it very awkward to get large files off
- the net. With 3.0 coming I guess I'll have to buy or borrow a DAT drive
- to backup, and, because I can't afford to lose 2.1, another hard drive
- too.
- Now, my confused question is: Are people establishing a new media
- exchange standard for the NeXT? Will it be DAT or 8mm, with or without
- compression? I would really like to be able to send tapes to other
- people and have a chance of their reading them, and also be able to
- have them send me stuff!
- In the old Sun/apollo world, cartridges seem to be a standard exchange
- medium, and it would be nice to have one on the NeXT too!
