- I would like to hook my HSD scanner---which only has one SCSI
- port---into the middle of a SCSI chain. That is, I need the scanner to
- be physically located in between two other SCSI peripherals.
-
- Presumably, this would require a cable with three SCSI centronics
- connectors. I was told by someone at HSD that they used to ship a
- SCSI-1 cable that allowed one to chain the scanner as the first device
- after the NeXT
-
- Is this possible/my problem solvable? I believe the HSD Scanner SCSI
- terminator is external (a little SCSI cable) that sits between the HSD
- and the SCSI centronics cable, but I always thought termination had to
- come physically after, not before a device.
-
- Finally, note that I have never soldered, nor do I plan on learning
- it. I'd much rather purchase a cable that solves my problem. Are there
- any sources?

- ** PS: Also, are there any (cheap) vendors selling 1' or 2' SCSI cables.
- ** I have run into the 21' SCSI cable length constraint.
