- Hi,
-
- A NeXT representative told me today that the CPU chip on the
- turbo stations are upgradable. ie, when a faster version of
- the 68040 chip comes out, you can replace the 33 Mhz one with
- the faster one.
- I've never heard of this for the Turbos. Is this true?
- And if it is, can I replace the 040 with a 050 when it comes
- out?
-
- Also, they have a 3.0 machine running. Everything seems to be
- there. The "look and feel" has been improved. Better color
- support. (Color everywhere on the desktop!) The representative
- said that NeXTstep 3.0 will ship in September.
-
- I also asked him about the fate of the Cube. He sounds like
- that the cube will not be obsoleted in the future.
