  14. Hi netters!

  16. Has anyone out there installed a Maxtor P0-12S (rev LB22) drive on a NeXT?  
  17. (the machine is a 040 cube used as a server and running 2.1J). The drive was  
  18. properly recognized, initialized, mounted and exported by the system...  
  19. BUT... After copying the directories to the new destination using gnutar I  
  20. used "diff -r" and discovered some files that did not match the original.  
  21. Only very long files like a 12Mbyte .tar.Z file and soundfiles. The drive is  
  22. properly terminated (by the way, removing the termination did not make any  
  23. difference!) and I did tests with only that drive in the SCSI chain and also  
  24. adding a CD-ROM drive in the middle. I also sdform'ed the drive with no  
  25. apparent improvement.
