  15. My 3 1/2 month old NeXT 17" color monitor snapped and shut itself off
  16. this evening twice.  I thought it might be related to the fact that the
  17. washer and dryer were both running when it happened since it hasn't
  18. done it since.  It has, however, begun making very quiet snapping sounds every 
  19. few minutes.  I did press the degauss button about 10 seconds before it shut
  20. itself off, but that was it.  It is connected to a noise suppressor/spike 
  21. protector currently; I'm planning on investing in a UPS soon.

  23. Has anyone else experienced this?  Should I send it in under warranty?
  24. Any UPS recommendations <$350?
