  12. Is there any way to make the mips cc compiler read
  13. a word (32 bit) from a non (word) aligned address?
  14. It seems like the LWL/LWR instructions make this feasible.

  16. The #pragma pack directive seems to have no effect.

  19. convenient in certain circumstances.
