  16. I recently reformatted the internal hard drive of my Classic 4/40
  17. with HD SetUp from the DiskTools disk with System 7,
  18. and installed System 7.0 (by dragging copying it from my external
  19. hard drive), but it refuses to use the internal hd as a startup 
  20. volume.

  22. It shows a happy mac, nothing, a happy mac, and a sad mac with the
  23. sad mac code 000000F over 00000063. I can't find this sad mac code
  24. documented anywhere and was just curious as to what it means.

  26. It boots fine with system 6.0.7 off the same drive, and if I copy the
  27. system 7 from the internal to the external, it can boot off the 
  28. external drive with no problem.
