- From the volume of mail I have recieved from people interested in my
- findings on a screen inverter utility (from black on white to white on
- black) I think it is best if I summerize here. Thanks to a number of
- individuals for pointing out that the Closeview cdev distributed with
- system 7 (I'm not sure about earlier releases) does this trick. On my
- distribution disks (7.0) the file can be found on the install 3 disk. A
- quick drag to the system folder and a restart was all that was needed. The
- only drawback is that the cdev also draws a square white border around the
- mouse pointer. Richard Long pointed me to an fkey written by Howard
- Ridenour available through the usuall ftp sites that can do the inversion
- with a simple command-shift-0. This worked well on my IIfx and someone
- reported that it also worked well for them on quadra internal video. It
- worked well in both b&w as well as 8bit and I highly recommend it.
