- Correction, my optimized version of ppmquant is 66% faster! It is functionally
- equivalent to the original version. On a 565k ppm file (generated from a 43k
- jpeg file), it took 417 seconds (6 min 57 sec) with the ORIGINAL version of
- ppmquant. My version took 138 seconds (2 min 18 sec) on the same file. (I
- probably could have saved a few more seconds if I took out the additional
- informational messages I added ;-).
