- Despite your detailed response, I agree with the earlier comment. If it
- works with system 7.1, then I don't think it's a big deal. If it doesn't
- work, then I completely agree that everyone with the ROM's in question
- should be quite upset with Apple.

- I'd say the same is true whether it's a separate init or whether it comes as
- some resource patch in the system file. If it works, Apple has not done
- anything particularly dastardly. If it doesn't (no matter where it is),
- then Apple could use a good class-action lawsuit to help them get a grip on
- their priorities.

- I'd say give them the benefit of the doubt for now. I agree this needs to
- be investigated (to make sure the INIT still works with system 7.1), but
- it's a bit soon to get on the warpath over it.
