  28. Despite your detailed response, I agree with the earlier comment.  If it  
  29. works with system 7.1, then I don't think it's a big deal.  If it doesn't  
  30. work, then I completely agree that everyone with the ROM's in question  
  31. should be quite upset with Apple.

  33. I'd say the same is true whether it's a separate init or whether it comes as  
  34. some resource patch in the system file.  If it works, Apple has not done  
  35. anything particularly dastardly.  If it doesn't (no matter where it is),  
  36. then Apple could use a good class-action lawsuit to help them get a grip on  
  37. their priorities.

  39. I'd say give them the benefit of the doubt for now.  I agree this needs to  
  40. be investigated (to make sure the INIT still works with system 7.1), but  
  41. it's a bit soon to get on the warpath over it.
