- This is very similar to a problem I had. Ithink it was happening (in
- my case at least) because the volumes on which the original files
- reside were not mounted by the time the finder was building the
- windows containing the aliases. At any rate, the problem disappeared
- when I installed SCSIProbe and told it to mount all volumes at
- startup. Since then, I've never seen the generic icon for aliases
- problem.
