  12. Today, I installed new printer drivers on the Macs in our network. I used
  13. the installer on the "Printing" disk, and noticed, that it didn't install
  14. the LaserWriter Prep file.  After a bit of testing, I figured out that it is
  15. absolutely not necessary.

  17. But why did Apple include this file in the first place?  What happens for
  18. instance, when I want to print to a Linotronic instead of to a LaserWriter?
  19. Will I need it there?
