  12. DeskTop Textures (not Patterns) has a "pattern" that brings back normal control
  13. of the DeskTop Pattern.  Just start up Destop patterns a click the left
  14. arrow. This brings up the "control panel comaptible" pattern. Click install
  15. and you will be back to normal. No need to go through all the ResEdit magic
  16. nor re-install system software.
