- Can anyone explain why the following doesn't work.
-
- If I take a sound resource file (type sfil creator movr) and open it with
- ResEdit, it contains a single sound resource. Similarly, if I change the type
- and creator of a sound file to rsrc and RSED, it is recognised as a ResEdit
- resource file containing a single sound resource. However, if I make a ResEdit
- resource file containing a single sound resource (by pasting, or recording a
- sound within ResEdit), save it and change the type and creator to sfil and
- movr, double clicking on the sound brings up an Insufficient memory error
- (although there's >2.5M free memory). Trying to copy it into the system gives
- the same error. WHY????? This happens on both an SE 4/40 running 7.0 tuned
- 1.1.1, and a Classic II 4/40 7.0.1/1.1.1.
-
- On a similar vein, how is it possible to use the sound resource in the
- Scrapbook (other than the way above) to create a system sound?
-
- Thanks for any help and/or explanations.
