  26. As I understand it TrueType is much like ATM in that if a bitmapped font
  27. of the correct size is available it will use that in preference because
  28. it doesn't need to image it and thus saves time. 
  29. However if you choose an odd size: say 11pt then TrueType will do the
  30. scaling from it's outline font to give the best quality it can. Slows
  31. your machine significantly sometimes though.
  32. TrueType will only download it's outline to the printer if that font
  33. doesn't exist in the printer or the printer is non-postscript
  34. (truetype?). That's why the Stylewriter and Personal Laserwriter take
  35. 2mins plus to image a page. ie. the Mac has to do the page and font
  36. imaging in these cases because there is no processor in the printer.
