- Recently a friend's CMS (seagate) hard drive had failed him (something
- to do with the boot sector maybe) and he wanted to know how to do a low-level
- format on the drive. The drive can be 'seen' by various HD tool programs,
- but none of them are able to mount it, nor format it. If it could be
- force-formatted, then it would be useful again maybe.
