  12. Recently a friend's CMS (seagate) hard drive had failed him (something
  13. to do with the boot sector maybe) and he wanted to know how to do a low-level
  14. format on the drive.  The drive can be 'seen' by various HD tool programs,
  15. but none of them are able to mount it, nor format it.  If it could be
  16. force-formatted, then it would be useful again maybe.
