  28. While its true that some people in the FSF have religous objections to the
  29. Macintosh, its also true that their very own standard license allows gcc
  30. and most every other GNU product to be ported to the Mac.

  32. Stan Shebs has in fact ported gcc to the Mac to run under MPW, and is
  33. currently working on porting gcc 2.  Also, TopSoft has taken on Harvest C
  34. development, and the intention is to combine Eric Sink's Harvest C and
  35. Stan's port of gcc to produce a stand along C and C++ compiler.  All this
  36. is of course a long way off, and if you are interested.  I'm not sure who
  37. is in charge of the TopSoft effort, but you can probably get more
  38. information by contacting Waqar <surak@ugcs.caltech.edu>.
