  15.     We have a new faculty member in our department who is a Mac person.
  16. I am very happy about this, because I love Macs, too. Our department is
  17. very heavily Sun oriented, so when our new faculty member requested a Mac
  18. PowerBook 170 for his office instead of a Sun SPARCstation, my life became
  19. more complicated.
  20.  
  21.     Our new faculty member wants to be able to hook his PB 170 to our
  22. Sun ethernet network. He mainly wants to use the Sun network for e-mail,
  23. and would like a friendly mail tool like the Sun OpenWindows mailtool program.
  24.  
  25.     I am appealing to the collective (Borg) net wisdom for help.
  26. Here are a couple of questions.
  27.  
  28. 1. Does anyone make an ethernet card for a PB 170? I doubt that anyone does,
  29.    but you never know.
  30.  
  31. 2. If I can not put an ethernet card in the PB 170, can I use an
  32.    Apple Talk <---> Ethernet bridge?
  33.  
  34.     As you can probably tell, I am really just asking for suggestions.
  35. Solutions in many price ranges will be considered. In terms of a mail
  36. tool, can someone suggest one that works well with UNIX mail systems?
