- I just had this explained to me a few days ago, so here's the scoop on
- "symetric" multi-processing.

- Multi-processing means you have more than one CPU. Some versions of
- operating systems support multiple processors by partitioning the work
- between them. To, for instance, have one processor handle all I/O requests
- while a second one does all number-crunching.

- Symetric multi-processing means all CPU's are interchangable. There is no
- partitioning of the work, whichever CPU is available will do whatever work
- which is waiting for some CPU time.
