  13. I read recently in _MacWeek_ that some of the new macs, just the
  14. Performa's, I think, will have system 7 in the ROM. I was first 
  15. disappointed. I was considering buying one, but not if the system
  16. being in ROM would not allow upgrades. After all, where would we
  17. all be if system 6 was permanently in our current ROMs. We'd have to
  18. buy new ones to upgrade to sys7 (I think.) However, wouldn't this mean
  19. increased speed and more free memory? Do things in ROM require RAM?
  20. I'd be interested in hearing what others think. I just can't make up
  21. my mind!
