- Is there a way to cajole the Times TT font to do overlining of individual
- characters, so that I can get, for example, an x in italics with a bar on top
- of it? I see there is a character in the font (typed option-shift-,) that
- puts a little line in exactly the right position, but I can't see how to get
- an x, or a p, or an n under it. Ideally, there would be something like
- option-e, which is used to put an accent on the next character typed (or some
- of them anyway).
-
- If not, is there a TT or Postscript font (free or commercial) that is similar
- to the Times italic font but permits overlining on at least some of the
- characters?
-
- If not, do I have any options besides using a drawing application to draw a
- little horizontal line over a character and saving it as PICT file??
-
- Thanks for any help
