  11. Is there a way to cajole the Times TT font to do overlining of individual
  12. characters, so that I can get, for example, an x in italics with a bar on top
  13. of it?  I see there is a character in the font (typed option-shift-,) that
  14. puts a little line in exactly the right position, but I can't see how to get
  15. an x, or a p, or an n under it.  Ideally, there would be something like
  16. option-e, which is used to put an accent on the next character typed (or some
  17. of them anyway).

  19. If not, is there a TT or Postscript font (free or commercial) that is similar
  20. to the Times italic font but permits overlining on at least some of the
  21. characters?

  23. If not, do I have any options besides using a drawing application to draw a
  24. little horizontal line over a character and saving it as PICT file??
