- We have an original LaserWriter which we have been using for years as a
- printer connected to a Sun by a serial line. In this mode it works
- fine. The problem arises when after properly connecting and switching
- over to Appletalk. In this case, the Chooser locates and allows me to
- select the printer and to print to it. However, almost every file I try
- to print (from word, etc...) will not print. I get a postscript error
- making reference to the command exitserver. The only files I've been
- able to print have been using SendPS to print a text file. No
- postscript files generated with command-f or command-k work, no other
- applications, etc...
-
- This suggests to me a problem in the version of Postscript in the
- Laserwriter roms. However, I can't believe that Apple leaves people
- hanging, shouldn't the LaserWriter driver work for ALL laserwriters.
- (BTW I've tried Laserwriter 5.2 and 7.0)
-
- Any ideas for correcting this problem, or about what is going on?
-
- Thanks,
-
