-
- No, it is not a framegrabber card. It's an accelerated graphics card
- designed especially for Windows. I'm sorry I can't tell you the name,
- manufacturer, etc. I never saw the board before it was installed and
- didn't get any docs with it.

-
- Being slow is not fine if you're trying to get work done. We grumbled
- and got by with the old cards for months until one person in our group
- left and a senior manager inherited her PC. The first time he tried
- reading email under Windows, it was decided that we needed faster cards.

-
- Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean people aren't out to get you.
- The reason I'm using a PC instead of a Mac at work is simply that the
- decision rested with people who bought, and used, the same argument
- that PC users are expressing here. Namely that "Macs are too expensive."
- (Even though we could have purchased Macs to do the same job for less
- than we spent on PCs.) If PC users simply wanted PCs for themselves,
- that would be fine, but they don't. They want everyone in the world
- to be *required* to use a PC. (Why else would they even bother reading
- a newsgroup devoted to someone else's computer, let alone post articles
- trashing it at every opportunity?) Unfortunately, there are enough of
- these people in purchasing, MIS, and management positions to make sure
- that a lot of would-be Mac users tow the line.
