- Since I spend 90% of my time running a 40 node OS/2 network I would like
- to comment on this. One thing System 7.0 has a very important advantage
- over OS/2's WPS. It's debugged. We have installed OS/2 2.0 on 9 out of
- our 40 machines and its amazing how unstable WPS can be at times. We
- hope the next CSD release will fix these problems. I also shudder at
- the thought of trying to do what we are doing with Windows.
-
- How do you rename a disk in drive a from the WorkPlace shell? I popped
- back to my desktop looked around...clicked on a couple of hundred
- things. I can't figure it out. I can go to a shell and rename the disk
- but that is not doing it from the workplace shell. The only way I
- believe you can do it is to reformat the disk! Also to rename a file
- under the WPS shell requires you to press down the alt key while press
- the right mouse button on the text. To me (and my users) thats a little
- more difficult than just clicking the mouse on the text in System 7.x.
-
- OS/2 and WPS are very powerful but easier to use than System 7.x. IMHO,
- no.
