  17. I think the problem here is the Parameter RAM (PRAM).  The old PRAM settings 
  18. you had on the old board are not transferred to the new one.  This can most 
  19. likely be fixed by going to the monitors control panel, setting colours to B&
  20. W then changing them back to 256.  Play around with this and it should 
  21. change it back, it did for me (I zapped my PRAM).
