  12. Does anyone out there know how 'the ticks' are generated in
  13. HyperCard (any version)? I am trying to use it to measure things
  14. over about half and hour and have found that it becomes very
  15. inaccurate in that time.
  16.
  17. It seems that it is implemented in software, rather than using a clock
  18. directly. From some empirical testing it does seem to be out by a constant
  19. factor (about 60.14 ticks/sec, rather than 60) but I'd like some theory
  20. to know how reliable that factor is and what things effect it. (eg it
  21. varies wildly with other applications running).
  22.
  23. Please email any thoughts.
  24.
  25. Thanks,
  26.
  27. Michael.
