- Does anyone out there know how 'the ticks' are generated in
- HyperCard (any version)? I am trying to use it to measure things
- over about half and hour and have found that it becomes very
- inaccurate in that time.
-
- It seems that it is implemented in software, rather than using a clock
- directly. From some empirical testing it does seem to be out by a constant
- factor (about 60.14 ticks/sec, rather than 60) but I'd like some theory
- to know how reliable that factor is and what things effect it. (eg it
- varies wildly with other applications running).
-
- Please email any thoughts.
-
- Thanks,
-
- Michael.
