  22. I've bought a DeskWriter last year and never been upset by this choice.

  24. I've compared the output quality of both printers with a complex
  25. "LaserWriter +"  test document. The DeskWriter seems to perform better.
  26. - best gray pattern matches with screen view (better than the LaserWriter
  27. +)
  28. - faster than the StyleWriter
  29. - more rugged than the Apple's toy
  30. - Sharp thin line, (better than the LaserWriter +)

  32. On the other side the StyleWriter is lightweight and more suitable for
  33. transportation.
  34. The cost of a DeskWriter is bit higher.

  36. Finally, hp seems to be very agressive in the printer market with color
  37. printers, upgrade availability and evolving printer driver. ( my first
  38. driver version was 1.30 . Now I'm at version 3.1 with spooling capability
  39. and it cost my nothing since I ftp the stuff from  summex-aim.stanford.edu
