  13. Instead of worrying about brightness level try obtaining the 'Backlight Control' control panel from ftp.apple.com directory dts/util perhaps?
  14. Purpose is to turn of the backlight after an interval of keyboard and mouse 
  15. inactivity.  Interval is variable, mouse movement turns on light (probably
  16. a key press does too.)

  18. I tried it.  It works even though it's version 1.0a1 or so...
