- You may get information if the LaserWriter has an "international" power
- supply as the Mac has. These power supplies will work at any voltage between
- 90 and 250 V. If not, there is always the opportunity to hook up the printer
- using a transformer (which is about 100 DM here).

- If you're not fixed up to the Apple LaserWriter, there are significantly
- cheaper printers here, too (unfortunately, they are not as cheap as in the
- states).

- Anyway, if you plan to import the printer into any foreign country (and not
- to use it temporarily and take it back to the states at a given time), you
- have to pay customs. In germany, these add up to 24 % of the price of the
- printer: 10 % customs, and 14 % local sales tax. (Whoa, its that many!) In
- this case, buying the printer here may be cheaper.
