- I have an opportunity to move up to ethertalk on my home network, as
- I have found a used equipment broker offering a good deal on some Apple
- cards.
-
- Now, for the same price, I can either get the old nubus ethernet card,
- which has thick and thin built in, or one of the new ones, which has
- the universal port. (Which, it is my understanding, cannot be used
- without buying an adapter for some amount of money.)
-
- So I want to know whether there is any advantage to the new card.
- If so, what? If so, how much will the adapters set me back?
-
- I may be installing A/UX soon as well, so compatibility and performance
- in that environment are also of interest.
-
- Thanks for your help. I need to make my decision very soon, so e-mail
- at your earliest convenience would be greatly appreciated.
