- I use the 88meg syquests at work. My impression of their operation is that when
- the cart is inserted into the drive (whether you've spun it up or not) the door
- on the cart is opened and the disk is vulnerable to dust contamination. Given
- that if you have the power on to the drive itself, you may possibly have a fan
- pulling air into the case will only increase the possibility of dust
- contamination and failure.

- Given that many/most computer companies try to tell you that their products are
- BETTER than they may actually be, if a company says "don't do this or you'll
- regret it", I pay attention.
