  12. I use the 88meg syquests at work.  My impression of their operation is that when
  13. the cart is inserted into the drive (whether you've spun it up or not) the door
  14. on the cart is opened and the disk is vulnerable to dust contamination. Given
  15. that if you have the power on to the drive itself, you may possibly have a fan
  16. pulling air into the case will only increase the possibility of dust
  17. contamination and failure.

  19. Given that many/most computer companies try to tell you that their products are
  20. BETTER than they may actually be, if a company says "don't do this or you'll
  21. regret it", I pay attention.
