  31. Also there may be a capacitor that has gone bad. The pluses are notorious
  32. for this
  33. (Apple put an underrated cap in C1). The book refered to in an earlier post
  34. has everything you need to know about repairing it yourself (I just did a
  35. couple). 
  36. Also there are some companies tucked away in the back of MacUser and
  37. MacWorld that will exchange a board for pluses for about $50. (I don't
  38. remember which ones though)  Good Luck
