  24. Yes.  You can use a RAM disk by getting one of the many RAM disk utilities
  25. available.  I like AppDisk on aumex-aim.stanford.edu.

  27. The Quadra/Powerbook RAM disk is different in that it is supported by
  28. the ROMs.  The contents of the RAM disk are retained over restarts.
  29. This is especially nice with the Poerbook as one can just copy the 
  30. system stuff onto the RAM disk and not have to use the battery-draining
  31. disk drive.
