- Yes. You can use a RAM disk by getting one of the many RAM disk utilities
- available. I like AppDisk on aumex-aim.stanford.edu.

- The Quadra/Powerbook RAM disk is different in that it is supported by
- the ROMs. The contents of the RAM disk are retained over restarts.
- This is especially nice with the Poerbook as one can just copy the
- system stuff onto the RAM disk and not have to use the battery-draining
- disk drive.
