- Hi folks,
-
- I have had a PB 170 for about 10 months and am by now familiar with my
- particular usage of the machine. Under normal circumstances I can
- expect about 2.5 hours of battery life. I have two batteries and both
- of these perform the same.
-
- Recently I started using the Mac in my office while it is plugged in to
- the AC adapter/charge (Apple standard part). Ever since I have kept it
- charging/running all day, my battery life has dropped to about an hour
- and I wonder if the battery is being "overcharged" by being kept in the
- machine with the charger running all day. I don't think it is the
- individual battery since the same effect is observed on both of my
- batteries. If I totally discharge and then recharge the battery it
- still only gives me about 1 hour of use.
-
- Anyone know wht is going on? I have been told that it is not advisable
- to run the PB 170 without a battery when it is plugged in.
