- I am a chemistry graduate student at MIT. Our lab and two others
- have a Mac cluster of about 10 machines in a poorly ventilated room. The
- average temperature is between 82-87 F. I am trying to convince my advisor
- that it would be worthwhile to purchase an air conditioning system for
- the room. I do not have any hard numbers or even good stories about
- how heat affects Macs. For example, how much is the lifetime of the
- computer affected by high temperature?? What components are most affected??
