  12.     I am a chemistry graduate student at MIT.  Our lab and two others
  13. have a Mac cluster of about 10 machines in a poorly ventilated room.  The
  14. average temperature is between 82-87 F.  I am trying to convince my advisor
  15. that it would be worthwhile to purchase an air conditioning system for
  16. the room.  I do not have any hard numbers or even good stories about 
  17. how heat affects Macs.  For example, how much is the lifetime of the 
  18. computer affected by high temperature??  What components are most affected??
