- After cracking the LCD on my Powerbook, I was shocked to find that the
- repair cost was $790. After several attemps to get it fixed through
- dealers and the ADPA (where we bought it), all I had was a sense that
- I'd have drive down to NYC to pick a new 100 2/20 up for $599 and use
- mine for parts.
-
- Then my boss called up the 800 number, said that there was " a big
- purple spot on the screen". It was picked up Wednesday, and returned
- on Friday morning. Best of all it was covered under warrenty!!! I
- think the moral of the story is that who you get on the other end of
- the phone and how you describe the problem are very important factors
- in the kind of service you get.
