- I have a Database application that I don't think should be that hard,
- but I have almost no idea how to do it.
-
- Is this possible on a Mac Database? Which one?
-
- I want to list the to-do lists of projects in a very similar way to the
- system 7 finder. At the "root directory" I want to list major projects,
- then be able to display them exactly how imbedded folders in the finder
- are displayed--just click on the project to see it's sub-projects. Just
- like the finder, I would like to display several levels of imbedded
- folders, see the sub-projects of many different projects on the screen
- at once, be able to move the contents of one project to another project,
- and sort either all the projects by date, or individual sub-projects.
-
- If possible, but not necessary, I would like to be able to display only
- one sub-project on the screen with it's respective sub-projects and
- dates. Also, like Hypercard, it would be nice to click on "to-dos" and
- go the respective application, i.e. Excel.
-
- I really don't know if this is an application better suited for
- HyperCard, a Spreadsheet, a Project Management Package (MS or Claris'
- Project), a more sophisticated DataBase package (FoxBase?, but I
- currently have FileMaker Pro 1.0), or the REALLY inelegant solution of
- actually just using a folder in the Finder (And generating a HUGE
- desktop file).
-
- Thanks in advance for your replies.
