- The main battery should be left in place to preserve the info on the HardRam
- or any programs suspended by autoresume. The "big" little battery is a
- backup for ram in the case that the main battery goes dead. True, it won't
- last long without the main battery, but how long do you wait to recharge the
- main battery if you drain it all the way. I cahrge mine within a few hours.
-
- As to leaving it plugged in all the time. Toshiba says it is fine as long
- as you totally discharge the battery once every two weeks. What happens is
- the battery reaches full charge and turns off the charger. When the battery
- level dips below full, the charger starts up to recharge. So you might get
- a little memory effect from leaving it plugged in for LONG periods of time...
- like weeks. I have never had a problem, but I discharge my battery once
- every 2 or 3 days at least.
-
- About the memory slots... who knows? I was wondering though... how much
- juice does that 2Mb card suck? I was thinking of getting one, but with a
- modem I thought it might shorten my run time under 2 hrs.
