- To answer the first question, I just bought a Powerbook 100 2 weeks ago at
- a Price Club here in Connecticut (store in New Britain); they had already
- sold 5 the day I got there, and they had a few more. Both that store and
- the Price Club in North Haven, CT, claim to be waiting for large re-orders,
- but have no info on an actual shipping date.
-
- To answer the second question, Price Club is a members-only type warehouse
- store with an annual fee; employees of non-profit and educational institutions
- are eligible, as are employees of many local businesses (each store keeps a
- list of what organizations are eligible); if you run your own business, you're
- also eligible for membership. They have great prices on floppies, desktop PC-
- compatible systems (mainly Dell), peripherals, and select software (they sell
- just about everything under the sun including food and dry goods). Their
- computer prices can be beat (not by very much) by mail order houses, but I like
- paying a bit more and going home with my new toy the same day! Unless you're
- another large business, I doubt that they'll accept any kind of phone or mail
- order.

- *** I don't work for Price Club, I just write checks payable to them! ***
