  25. I also got excited about these chip upgrades.  But when I looked into
  26. buying the $995 chip and adding a SCSI board for my P70 and an
  27. external hard disk, the cost was approaching that of a new Dell 486.
  28. I agree that our machines can use a speed-up and that the processor
  29. upgrade will do this.  BUT...  our model 70s still have 8 bit VGA and
  30. this can cause a slowdown when using GUIs.  I think I'll save my P70
  31. for traveling and consider a new machine upgrade.
