- For all you computer sound gurus out there...
-
- I am considering the purchase of a sound board.
- What I would like to do (eventually) is make
- my computer the heart of a stereo system--
- put in a CD-ROM and play CDs through the computer,
- fed through the regular amplifier/tuner/whatever
- into decent speakers, etc.
-
- With all of the discussion on what really makes "CD
- quality" sound, between 16 bits and the true sound
- that comes out of the speakers, my question is this:
-
- What is the most reasonably priced soundboard that
- can truly give a CD the justice it deserves, when
- played on a CD-ROM drive? (Does one exist yet?)
