- Hello,
- I downloaded the latest software patches for the 486-50 and
- the new windows 3.1 drivers from the Creative Labs BBS yesterday. The
- new versions of TEST-SBC.EXE and FMORGAN.EXE fixed the problems with
- my 486-50 and I am very greatful for the pointers I got from this
- group.
- I am hoping that someone can help me with my remaining
- problems:
-
- 1) When I followed the instructions for installing the new
- windows 3.1 drivers, the midi player worked but the wave player
- would not. It appeared as though the wave device driver was not
- found. I was only able to get the wave device recognized by re-
- installing the SoundBlaster 1.5 driver.
-
- 2) I have been unsuccessful in attempts to record sounds. I
- have used both the microphone from a cassette recorder and the
- microphone from a Macintosh; perhaps these are the wrong type of
- microphones. Does anyone know if these were inappropriate microphones?
- Is it possible that there is another 486-50 related bug in recording?
-
- Thanks!
- Rory
