  16. I've been using mathematica on a NeXT and it works great.
  17. I started using the microsoft windows version on a 486 and it
  18. seems to have real problems.
  19. I'm new to the 486 so clue me in.
  20. I keep getting an error window saying something to the effect that
  21. I need to change the memory in my pif editor or reduce the number of 
  22. applications running.  The problem is that only windows and mathematica
  23. are running and I don't quite know what to do about the pif editor
  24. I did try changing the default in the pif to 0 and I thought that would
  25. allow windows to use the minimum memory. Still crashed.
  26. Any suggestions. Oh, incidentally, mathematica is a memory hog for sure.
