- I have two questions, and one involves the title of this message. At the
- U of I, we have a COMPAC DESKPRO 286/12Mhz model 2550 with a floppy drive and
- 1 meg or so of memory. We would like to put a hard drive in it and up the
- memory, but we need to know if anyone has any manuals, hints, extra hardware,
- or freebies they would consider telling us about. We need all the info we can get, as we will be forced to junk it unless I can prove to the group of
- students that own it that it can be turned into a good machine for some tasks.
-
- Any help would be appreciated.

- On another note, I would like to know who to contact to find out how to
- interface a IBM style floppy drive to a nother type of system. Interested
- in any info you can provide on who to contact for pinouts of the connector,
- routines, etc. I currently have some cheap 3.5 drives I would like to put in
- some projects whinch have the standard IBM style connectors.
