  20. IBM's BASICA  will only run on an IBM machine.  IBM machines include a ROM
  21. with a very limited version of BASIC.  BASICA expects to find that ROM to
  22. run the core BASIC functions.  To run the BASIC interpreter on a clone, you
  23. must use GWBASIC or some other self contained interpreter.

  25. If you want a BASIC interpreter, I suggest buying QBasic - it is a striped
  26. version of MicroSoft's QuickBASIC compiler and works quite well.
