- Most of the previous posts already include my reasons for
- hating microsoft.
- I decided to post, because yesterday I had a new experience,
- that even made my feelings deeper.
- I went to the bookstore to see if there are any new books on OS/2
- and I was most surprised to find on the most visible place OS/2
- book published by ... Microsoft Press. First couldn't believe my
- eyes, I thought that the Evil Empire is changing if they release
- books on the product they used to boycott ...Well, I was wrong -
- the book was published in 1990, before the Great Split.
- Anyway, I browsed thru the book and in the section called OS/2 2.0
- (in 1990!) there was an interview with Bill Gates. He sounded very
- persistive, telling reporter that OS/2 is the system of the future
- and that Microsoft is not going to incorporate sophisticated multi-
- tasking in Windows, leaving it to OS/2, and above all, he confirmed
- that Windows is just an upgrade path to OS/2.
-
- It looks like mechanisms of changing the historical documents described
- by George Orwell in "1984" would be very useful for Microsoft.
